Our expert
This project is guided by Aiah Noack, founder of Naturplanteskolen and an experienced permaculture practitioner and educator.
Her work focuses on creating biodiverse, edible landscapes and helping people reconnect with nature through practical, hands-on learning. With a strong background in plant science and ecology, she brings both knowledge and experience to the project.

π± The Project During the Festival
πΏ Designing the Living System
During the festival, participants will take part in the creation of a permanent ecological garden bed, designed following permaculture principles. Together, we will observe the land, understand the natural patterns, and design a system that works in harmony with the environment.
πΎ Building the Layered Bed
The garden bed will be created as a layered system, where soil, organic matter, and natural materials are combined to regenerate fertility. This method improves soil structure, water retention, and long-term productivity, creating a living ecosystem rather than just a growing space.
βπΈ 3. Planting for the Future
Participants will plant perennial species, edible plants, and pollinator-friendly flowers. These plants will continue growing year after year, supporting biodiversity, soil health, and food production for the community.

β
π Learning by Doing
This project is fully hands-on. Participants will not only learn the theory behind permaculture, but actively practice it — from soil preparation to planting and ecosystem design. The goal is to give practical skills that can be replicated in everyday life.
β
π³ Footprint
The garden created during the festival will remain as a living, evolving space for the school and the community. It will continue to grow, produce food, and serve as an educational tool for future students, visitors, and workshops.
Through this project, we aim to leave a lasting positive impact — both on the land and on the people who take part in it.
